Position Overview
The Center for Human Capital Innovation (CHCI) is a growing small business and looking for the ideal person to join our team of consulting professionals as a Management Analyst. As CHCI’s clients face changing conditions, increasing mission requirements, and resource constraints, they are looking for innovative solutions that drive successful outcomes and support their most important asset – their people. CHCI is engaging with clients to prepare for and address these challenges while enhancing operational results. CHCI requires talented and experienced people to support this effort.
Principal Responsibilities
The Management Analyst is a key position on the CHCI team Initially, the Management Analyst will join a project team that is primarily focused on transforming human capital systems for a government client. In the long term, this person will be responsible for a full range of project support activities that applies their training and experience to support both commercial and government clients in a dynamic environment. Accordingly, Management Analyst responsibilities include:
- Identifying, developing, analyzing, and evaluating policies, regulations, and goals for the transformation and management of the client’s talent management system.
- Defining problems, conducting root cause analysis, and recommending solutions.
- Performing quantitative and qualitative analyses to develop proposed solutions.
- Consolidating the findings from the analyses and presenting solutions to the client.
- Providing budget and financial management support to the project team.
- Developing and presenting plans to implement recommended changes.
- Facilitating discussions with the client on areas of proposed improvement.
- Supporting the business development activities of the firm through activities such as proposal support and content development.

The Management Analyst must be a highly engaged, solutions-focused, self-managed, and motivated individual ready to join a high- performing organization. The successful candidate will have strong research, writing, and presentation skills. Our ideal candidate has the ability to structure and manage intensive workloads to meet deadlines. She or he must be a team player, dedicated to the outcome desired by the project team either as an individual contributor or as a task team lead. They must have a high degree of emotional intelligence, confidence, and maturity to effectively deal with clients at all levels, including senior executives. She or he should have strong analytic skills and attention to detail. Finally, the ideal candidate would demonstrate a strong aptitude for problem solving, understanding new concepts, and effectively producing results. Additionally, the Management Analyst must have the following types of education and work experiences.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, or a Human Capital related discipline (Master’s Degree preferred).
- 5 years of general management consulting experience with the government or private sector, with 2 years of relevant experience specifically working in Human Capital or workforce development fields.
- Additionally, the ideal candidate would have experience in other management consulting specialties such as strategy, operations, or information technology.
- Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
Security Clearance
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain Secret eligibility.
- Security Clearance is desirable.
Travel
- Local travel within DC Metro area will be required regularly.
- Travel within Continental US may be required.
